This site gives links to search tools such as Kayak.com that are based on Web 2.0 technologies. Web 2.0 works more like an application than a traditional web page. Instead of going to a new page every time you click the results appear on the screen sometimes instantly. This give the web developer greater flexibility in design rather than designing around HTML's limitations. Ajax is commonly used to generate Web 2.0 applications.
